If you’re looking for a total wellness and beauty center offering soul-soothing, facial and body enhancing treatments, look no further than the esteemed establishment of Grey Aesthetics. This luxury wellness spa is a resilient business that made it through some initial hurdles, only to reveal a successful and robust entity on the other side. Their first chosen location in south county didn't quite pan out as anticipated. Yet, this original setback turned into a fortuitous twist of fate when they eventually opened their doors in the heart of Newport. A dear friend named Alex Arreguin (the owner of Boxing Lab and also a huge supporter and personal business advisor) presented the perfect location with ample parking provisions. Owner of Grey Aesthetics, Shannon Hunter, immediately knew this was the ideal location, and after an extensive renovation, Grey Aesthetics made their grand debut with a soft opening in September of 2022.

While winter may not have been their intended season to open, Shannon embraced the challenge and was welcomed with the unwavering support of friends, family, clients and even marketing teams like Newport Beach Living Magazine.

Early Life:

Shannon grew up in Idaho and eventually relocated to the California coast, living in San Diego and Orange County. Pursuing her passion for healthcare, Shannon obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and embarked on a career in ultrasound imaging. She eventually transitioned into the field of pharmaceuticals, working in medical sales for an impressive 12-year period.

Throughout her career, Shannon consistently engaged in sales and consulting for various medical spas and plastic surgeons, playing a pivotal role in growing their businesses. Drawing from her extensive expertise in the field, she ventured into entrepreneurship and embarked on the journey of building her own medical spa and wellness center.

Interesting Facts

Grey Aesthetics is named after Shannon’s four year old son, Greyson who inspires her every day to not only be the best mother she can be, but apply all her creativity, passion, and love to help others look and feel more fulfilled and happy.

“This industry has always been a love for me. Seeing people get real results is such an amazing feeling and experience to be part of. And something I know Greyson will be proud of me for too.” says Shannon.

In addition, Shannon is a small investor in BOXHAUS Newport Beach where her good friend and owner, Andre Hussmen, helps train her. Shannon is grateful that he urged her to follow her dreams and helped guide her through the process of creating an LLC and business.

Life Outside of Work:

Shannon has an affinity for the safe community of Aliso Viejo and decided to put her roots down there four years ago when she purchased a home and created a cozy bungalow for her and her son. Since Shannon met her fiancé Gio, they are now in the midst of searching for a rental home together in Corona del Mar, excited for what the future holds as they blend their two families together.

Shannon and Gio are family-oriented, devoted parents who love spending quality time with their children. Gio has two daughters who are 16 and 4 years old, and Shannon’s son is also 4 years old. When they have the kids in their care on weekends, they make it a point to spend time together visiting the beach, going on trips, and creating fun memories together.

Both Shannon and Gio lead busy lives, managing their respective businesses, so they’re intentional to spend quality time together when they can - whether that’s dining out at their favorite restaurant, Joey’s in Newport Beach, or escaping to a quick getaway in Palm Springs.

A woman with passion and grit, Shannon once loved riding street bikes, but since having kids has transitioned to enjoy the unique hobby of boxing.

Charity:

Shannon and her involvement in her community hold significant importance to her. Shannon and Grey Aesthetics donate to the breast cancer foundation, CASA, the Make a Wish Foundation, and JDRF, the world’s largest nonprofit funder of type 1 diabetes research. She attends Mariners Church with her family where they actively volunteer as a means to give back. Shannon has also dedicated her efforts to a non-profit organization, which she initiated to support postpartum women. She aspires to further develop and expand this non-profit to extend its reach and impact.

In addition, within her med spa, Shannon offers hormone therapy services, focusing on a holistic approach to stabilize hormones and improve overall well-being, especially in women and postpartum mothers. Grey Aesthetics even serves cancer patients throughout their chemo journey by helping them rejuvenate their bodies back to health.
