Nodding to the old Hollywood glamor of the original A Restaurant, the beachside hideaway is helmed by Executive Chef Elvis Morales and features a menu of greatest hits from A Restaurant accompanied by delicious lunch dishes including the Lobster Cobb Salad, Chilean Sea Bass Tacos, and Cubano Sandwich for lunch, and creative brunch classics like the Filet + Dungeness Crab Benedict, Horchata Pancakes and Duck Confit Sopes.
History
Originally built as a restaurant and service station, construction began on The Arches in 1925, the same year Coast Highway opened up from Huntington Beach to Newport Beach. Founded by John Vilelle and James Sturgeon, it was named by 10-year-old Victor Chatten in a contest advertised by them in the Balboa Times. The distinct Mediterranean style of the original buildings, with arches and red tile roofs, quickly made it a recognizable staple of Newport Beach as it helped to shape and inspire the town in its early stages.
Beginning as a basic roadside diner, the restaurant and its menu flourished together, featuring steak, seafood and celebrities in the 40's, 50's and 60's, and was touted for its French food by the early 1970's. And while its appearance and function has changed over time, its commitment to customer and community has not.

Order from the "Push the Envelope" cocktail menu, a luxury cocktail menu offering four unique cocktails. A local favorite is "The Bogart," a spin on an old-fashioned made with Hibiki Japanese whiskey, cherry wood smoked tableside, and a bruleed Luxardo cherry.
They also offer 1/2 off wine on Tuesdays and 1/2 off champagne during weekend brunch.

Offers daily specials Tuesday-Friday.
Tuesday - Chicken Piccata, Wednesday - BBQ Ribs, Thursday - Skirt Steak and Friday - Pot Pie. NBL & NCL favorite is the Pot Pie. It's the best in town! Tip: Put your order in early, as they sell out of these specials quickly!
They also offer "Stevens Precious" wine list. Steven is the infamous sommelier. It's his curated list of spectacular wines that are hard to find anywhere else.
