LIFE FALLS PERFECTLY INTO PLACE; BECOME EXACTLY WHAT THE WORLD IS MISSING

By: Gina Maier Vincent

With the new year, it's natural to feel the pull toward reinvention—to ask if we should step into this fresh chapter as a completely new version of ourselves. Many clients come to me expressing a desire to “reinvent” themselves. They don’t like who they’re being in their lives, so they figure they have to wipe the slate clean and start over. This often comes on the heels of a major life event: a job loss, a change in relationship status, the death of a loved one, a move to a new city, or some other major upheaval. They’re about to step into a new life, and they want to do so as a new version of themselves.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with wanting a fresh start. But hearing someone say, “I’m reinventing myself,” gives me a pit in my stomach.

First, “reinventing” sounds like something you do in a basement bunker while wearing a white lab coat and goggles. It doesn’t sound sexy or enjoyable. In fact, it sounds like a lot of work. Is “working on yourself”—like you’re a home improvement project or a broken toy—really on your wish list?

Even the definition of “invent” is a mismatch to creating exquisite alignment. To invent something is to create something that does not yet exist. But you already exist. You are unique, different and special. Why would you want to create a new you

You are not broken, flawed, or wrong in any way. The systems and beliefs in which you’ve been operating may be flawed or simply less than ideal, but those have nothing to do with you—with the truth of you.

So, defining and designing your exquisitely aligned life is not a process of reinvention. Rather, it’s a process of revelation—of stripping away what is not you, so you can reveal what is you.

Now, you can absolutely feel free to disagree with my approach. I’m not here to tell you what to think. But if you’re feeling like you need to become someone else in order to have the life you truly want, I’d encourage you to run that one by your inner authority. Do you really need to change? Or do you just need to reveal? Do you really need to “be different,” or do you just need to stop playing the roles others have expected you to conform to? Do you really need to “stop being” the current version of yourself to make others comfortable, or do you need to upgrade your inner circle and fill it with people who see your brilliance without the need for filters and conditions?

And, perhaps the most important question of all: will your path of reinvention move you closer to, or farther away from, your heartfelt desires and the truth of who you are?

When you reconnect with your soul-level truths, recognize your gifts, honor your Divine Resources (time, money, and energy), and cultivate daily habits that support your exquisite alignment, you will remember that you are divinely created for a purpose.

From there, it’s only natural to claim the amazing life that is your birthright. You’ve been revealed, revitalized, and re-aligned.

How does that feel? I’m here to support you. Visit ExquisitelyAligned.com or call me, Gina, at 949-409-5330 for a complimentary discovery call.
