Shop Local - MACHO'S Seasoning

By: Bethany Myers

Over the years, Ryan Machoskie took to heart the well-known adage, "do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life." After dedicating over 10 years to curating homemade cooking videos, and seeing an increase in his followers, he decided to merge his two passions of cooking and entrepreneurship into one successful business. As a child, Ryan’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to run lemonade stands and sell various items, including sneakers, on eBay. With a long-held vision of owning his own business, Ryan's decision to start his own seasoning company in 2023 was solidified after his 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies video gained a whopping 4 million views

One thing that sets MACHO’S Seasoning apart from the rest, are its all-natural ingredients. After some research, Ryan discovered that many of the popular seasonings on the market are filled with additives like: maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, seed oils, and more. Mr. Machoskie saw this as the perfect opportunity to create a healthier, tastier, and all-natural seasoning.

About MACHO'S Seasoning:

MACHO’s Seasoning is based out of Newport Beach, and all seasonings are manufactured in the United States. Their flagship product, Mars Dust, is an all-natural barbecue seasoning with notes of Hickory smokiness, coupled with hints of heat from Aleppo Pepper and Cayenne Pepper and sweetness from brown sugar. A few other ingredients add to its robust flavor profile. In addition to this beloved seasoning, MACHO’S Seasoning is excited to announce the launch of two new flavor blends later this year. All their tasty products can be found online at machosseasoning.com, Amazon and local butcher shops. MACHO’S Seasoning is always looking for new retail locations, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to email Ryan directly at ryan@machosseasoning.com.

Personal Life:

Ryan grew up in Newport Beach, and graduated from Corona del Mar High School in 2018. He attended The University of Colorado Boulder where he earned a B.S. in Advertising with a minor in Sociology. Ryan loves the creative process of testing new recipes, exploring flavor profiles for new seasoning blends, and developing new product names and package designs. “I've always enjoyed creating content for my followers on social media, blending humor with my love of cooking. It's fun to interact with my audience and get their feedback.”

When he’s not testing a new recipe, Ryan loves to travel, explore other cuisines, surf in Newport Beach, and play golf.
