Until now, people have aged like fine wine. But recently in Orange County, we somehow seem to defy the laws of time and essentially age backward. “Middle-aged” men and women are looking as fit and fresh as someone in their 20’s. Yes, genetics plays a contributing factor, but the art of aesthetics has also been a great help. Thanks to the advancement of technology and science, medical professionals have made tremendous strides in helping patients look and feel their best. Notably, one board-certified surgeon named Dr. Christina Pantazopoulos highlighted today.

Currently a Californian, Dr. Pantazopoulos originally grew up in New York City, the first child of her immigrant Greek parents. She always valued education and began her studies at Fordham University. After graduating from their Summa Cum Laude, the plan was not to leave the microcosm of New York, however, new opportunities emerged when she matched for an Orthopedic surgical residency in Southern California. As the bold and adventurous woman she is, she took the leap of faith and made the big move. Establishing a name for herself in California, her affinity for surgery grew, and she also found an unexpected love when she met her husband. As a well-known Orthopedic trauma surgeon, her husband shared similar goals and interests as Dr. Pantazopoulos.

Dr. Pantazopoulos’ deep desire to create a profound impact in the world of facial rejuvenation and cosmetic services led to the opening of “The Manhattan Beauty Project” in 2019. Focused on anti-aging, this Medical Aesthetic practice began as a passion hobby to her already thriving Orthopedic surgery practice. Manhattan Beauty Project has since become center stage, offering three locations spanning from Riverside to Canyon Lake, and now in Costa Mesa as of July 2022. This endeavor was ignited when Dr. Christina Pantazopoulos sought Aesthetic treatment as a patient in the Inland Empire and discovered a void of ethical, innovative Aesthetic medical practices. Dr. Christina reminisces about an encounter she experienced at a med spa when she moved to California for her residency in 2008: “I was treated like a dollar sign and pressured to spend money by financing treatments that I did not need. At this point, I became disillusioned by the industry’s lack of tailored, personal, and ethical care in the Inland Empire. From that point on, it became my mission to bring the coveted medical care of Manhattan to the west coast.” says Dr. Pantazopoulos.

In addition, expanding her services to reach the Inland Empire and now in Costa Mesa, proved to be beneficial for her existing clientele who reside in Orange County. Now, any Newport native can visit the Costa Mesa office instead of traveling over 60 miles to Canyon Lake for treatments.

The Manhattan Beauty Project provides a touch of New York City with the beautiful Orange County backdrop, offering safe, innovative technology to their patients. “Safety is key, in a not-so-ethically sound world of Aesthetics,” says Dr. Pantazopoulos.

Unlike other med spas, The Manhattan Beauty Project always provides a physician on-site, offering an array of anti-aging treatments, including non-invasive procedures to full-on surgical treatments that can truly satisfy any customer.

When she’s not accentuating her client’s existing beauty, Dr. Pantazopoulos enjoys spending time with her husband and twins, Elle and Ody, age eight. With such limited free time, it’s the simple things that bring the most joy to Dr. Pantazopoulos, like jogging on the beach, having a nice dinner with girlfriends, and the occasional Netflix binge with wine, if time allows.

In addition to transplanting iconic medical innovations from Manhattan to the coast of California, Dr. Pantazopoulos and her husband love giving back to their local community. Most notable are their contributions and support of St. Jude's hospital. “This exceptional hospital provides great care to families going through unthinkable medical diagnoses of their children.”

Dr. Pantazopoulos’ professional expansion in Costa Mesa is inching her closer to her dream of providing an exceptional aesthetic experience. The establishment of The Manhattan Beauty Project is a legacy that will continue to provide life-changing aesthetic care to all her customers.
