Newport Aquatic Center Team Makes History

What a year it has been for the Newport Aquatic Center.  

The club had 11 senior girls commit to rowing in college, which included local CDMHS Hannah Hykes headed to Michigan, Kat Odeen headed to Clemson, Ruby Srinivasan and Millie Clark headed to Harvard and NHHS Michaela Banta headed to USC, Vivi Spitz headed to Cal Berkley, and Sarah Porter headed to Fordham; Costa Mesa High School graduate Breezy Kash headed to UC San Diego

NAC brought a program-record four women's boats to the US Rowing Junior Nationals in Florida. The women had a great outcome and, for the first time in the history of the program, brought home bronze for the Varsity boat (8+ i.e. 8 rowers + coxswain) and silver for the Junior Varsity boat (8+). The previous best for the varsity boat was 5th place last year.
