Meet Jerome Dean, the Triple Threat

By: Bethany Myers

In the dazzling world of entertainment, there are few artists who effortlessly navigate the realms of music and acting with as much grace and enthusiasm as Jerome Dean. With a voice that resonates like a timeless melody and a presence that captivates audiences across the nation, Jerome's journey from a young performer to a seasoned entertainer is one that exudes joy and passion.

Jerome's journey into the limelight began at the age of 9, when he first discovered his innate talent for singing and entertaining during family get-togethers and performing in elementary school plays. In high school, he made notable appearances in the West Side Story musical and the global phenomenon Jesus Christ SuperStar - igniting a spark that would eventually blaze into a full-fledged career. In college, Jerome enrolled in a theatrical class, performing on stage for the entire school. With so much experience under his belt, he took the next step into the world of professional acting in his early 20s, delving into background work on various television shows with Central Castings in New York City and Los Angeles, CA.

Inspired By

Asked about his biggest inspirations, Jerome fondly recalls the iconic Rat Pack:

  1. Frank Sinatra - His voice, the tone, the articulation of his words, and the confidence he portrays live on stage as well as in the recording studios.

  1. Dean Martin - His suave personality, debonair style, and ability to interact and humor the audience.

  1. Sammy Davis Jr. - His style, dance talent, confidence, and all-around amazing entertainer.

Performances

Jerome's performances paint a vivid picture across various local public venues, Senior Citizen facilities, and charitable events. From Orange County to Beverly Hills, Bel Air, North Hollywood, and Los Angeles, his charismatic presence enlivens any stage he steps onto. He’s graced the spaces of high-end hotels like The Montage, Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Bel Air, The Four Seasons, and even The Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara. Raving fans anticipate his regular performances at five-star restaurants such as Via Alloro, El Paseo, 208 Rodeo Restaurant, Il Cielo in Beverly Hills, and near the beach at the Balboa Bay Restaurant.

“I love performing at private events for banquets and embracing my all American side when visiting country clubs in areas like Tarzana and more south in Laguna Niguel. I especially enjoy entertaining guests at the Wild Strawberry Cafe in Newport Beach during special events and other unique occasions.”

His talent has also earned him a place among two world-renowned groups. “I had the immense honor of performing and being the youngest member of "The Drifters" (song..Under The Board Walk) out of New York for seven years and also "The Platters" (song..Only You) in Las Vegas show rooms for four years.”

His dedication and service to the community has not gone unnoticed. Rightfully so, Jerome received an entrepreneurship award from the World Networks in Los Angeles, and was honored by the Mayor of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, for his generous efforts and service with the Senior Citizens in the Inland Empire.

Future Goals

As Jerome looks toward the future, his ambitions remain as clear as his melodies. He's on the brink of embarking on a personal TV and acting project, combining his singing and acting talents in a venture that promises to be nothing short of captivating. “I want to continue to fulfill my purpose of being a light in this world with joy, love and happiness through my talents. "Bringing joy through music is what I do."

Interesting Story

“One of the most memorable moments in my career is when I performed at a Senior Citizen’s birthday party. The resident turned 102 years old. She told me the story of when she was a young girl - she and her girlfriends attended a Frank Sinatra concert for her birthday. It was also her very first concert, which was thrilling for her! She went on to say that her 102nd birthday party may be her last one and how glad she was to have me perform because I became her new favorite entertainer. I was greatly moved by her sentiment.”

Personal Life

Beyond the spotlight, Jerome's personal life resonates around the ocean. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, he carries cherished memories of his grandparent's annual trips to the East Coast shores. Today, he calls Orange County his home and continues to embrace the beach life, savoring walks on the sand or boardwalk, swimming in the ocean, watching a nice volleyball game or surfing competition, having a bite to eat or watching the pelicans dive into the sea.

When not enchanting audiences with his performances, Jerome indulges in classic movies, reading, meditation, frequent gym sessions, and taking a good nap.
