The Environmental Nature Center (ENC) will be hosting its 10th annual Artisan Marketplace on December 3, 2023 from 11 am-4 pm. Over fifty local artisans will display a variety of handmade, vintage, eco-friendly, and sustainable gifts just in time for the Holidays. Featured products include a variety of handmade jewelry, ceramics, candles, soaps, clothing, and more. “Purchasing from locally owned businesses has a positive impact on the economy and supports local communities,” said ENC Assistant Director Lori Whalen.

“The Artisan Marketplace gives guests the opportunity to shop for unique gifts while spending time in nature instead of a shopping mall.” Artisan Marketplace vendors are handpicked by ENC staff for their eco-friendly products. Non-native plants, seashells, coral, and animal parts are not allowed. Shoppers will find minimal plastic and are encouraged to bring reusable shopping bags to carry their purchases. Guests are also encouraged to come hungry to support the event’s food vendors. To align with the ENC’s Zero Waste Policy, guests who bring reusable plates and utensils will receive a raffle ticket to be entered to win a fabulous raffle prize. Free Hot Cocoa will be provided to children who bring their own reusable mug (while supplies last). A $2 entry fee goes directly to the Environmental Nature Center’s environmental education programs.
