IS THIS ALL THERE REALLY IS IN LIFE?

By: Gina Maier Vincent

Today, millions of high achievers around the globe will pause and ask themselves, "Is this really all there is in life?" Are you one of them?

Perhaps you followed society's checklist: college, career, car, house, vacations, partner, and kids. Yet, despite "having it all," a crucial piece feels missing. Maybe you silence your true desires out of fear of judgment. I know I did. If I hadn’t lived through my husband Mark’s health crisis alongside him, I might never have learned or appreciated the power of truly claiming what we desired. I knew what I wanted and thought, “I’ll definitely have that someday”–but, at the same time, part of me felt like I needed to accept that we probably wouldn’t get everything I envisioned for us.

It wasn’t until our whole future was in jeopardy that I learned that there is a world of difference between dreaming about a great life and making a deliberate choice to have it. Without acknowledging these desires, we risk growing unhappy, dissatisfied, and frustrated as time passes, often feeling alone, misunderstood, or empty

The good news is that there is a solution. By honoring your truth and powerfully aligning with your heartfelt desires, you can define your "more," and this is how your most magnificent life becomes inevitable. We are not here merely to survive and have our basic needs met. We are here to thrive, be in awe of life, and live authentically.

Many high achievers spend decades focusing on what society has identified as “success,” which moves further away from what truly matters and what brings them satisfaction, significance, and joy. My forthcoming book, Exquisitely Aligned: A Pocket Guide to Design Your Most Magnificent Future, focuses on helping people identify issues and experience transformation. You see, society trains us to believe that the answers are on the outside and that if we collect the items society deems as indicative of “success”, we will feel fulfilled. But the truth is, creating an exquisitely aligned life is a dynamic journey, not a static goal. It’s about continuously peeling back the layers, exploring new facets of yourself, and aligning with your ever-unfolding truths.

Here are some simple suggestions to find your “More:”

Reevaluate how to align and manage the divine resources: time, money, and energy. Most people suffer from an imbalance in at least one area. Work to find your truth.

Define your "more." Then, align how you invest your time, money, and energy with this truth. By doing so, you invite your most magnificent future to fruition.

Design the future you deserve. Be courageous and let your mind drift to a place where you can realize your most magnificent future. Start by giving yourself permission to think even bigger and open yourself up to life’s beauty, elegance, and luxury.
