Get in Shape at Eastbluff Pilates

It's that time of year when we are all eating and drinking a bit more than usual and start thinking about our upcoming New Year's resolutions. Of course, getting in shape is the biggest resolution people make every year. When considering what you will do to achieve your fitness goals, consider Pilates. Pilates is a fantastic strength training workout that gives you a more elongated muscle tone. If you have never tried Pilates or already love it but want to discover a new studio, you must visit Eastbluff Pilates.

Eastbluff Pilates is a boutique studio that opened its doors in the Eastbluff Village Shopping Center in 2011. They specialize in injury prevention and pain management and offer a fitness program for everyone- every age, size, and experience level. Seven instructors keep the studio open 7 days a week, morning, noon, and night. They offer small group classes and private sessions tailored to your fitness goals and personal needs. So there are no excuses why you can't make a class! Eastbluff Pilates also works with local youth sports teams and offers workshops teaching the importance of maintaining a healthy muscular system. Their philosophy is everybody is different, and they take a "feel good" approach to fitness. They never want anyone dreading their workout at their studio and like to keep it light and fun. They also like to create their lessons by incorporating movements from everyone's hobbies, like tennis, golf, gardening, surfing, etc. They tell their clients not to be afraid of Pilates or the equipment that looks like a torture device. You will never feel tortured at Eastbluff Pilates!

Eastbluff Pilates has contributed to neighborhood events and donates to Eastbluff elementary school and any organization looking for a gift basket for their particular fundraiser. They also contribute to Newport Beach Junior Guards and United Way.

Leah Hannegan, the studio owner, has lived in Newport Beach for 17 years. Originally from Brea, CA, Leah was a high school cheerleader and was voted "most spirited." She graduated from UNLV in Las Vegas, was a Vegas showgirl, and danced on cruise ships while traveling the world. Questioning if she could dance forever, she discovered Pilates and got her certification. With her dance background, love for movement, and spirited cheer attitude, opening a Pilates studio was a natural choice. After working in the industry for six years, she had a large enough following to open Eastbluff Pilates. Leah currently resides in Eastbluff with her husband and two children. One message Leah would like to share is that we all live in a beautiful city and should encourage each other. Eastbluff Pilates does not look at other fitness studios as competition but as part of the "feel good" community.
