Comedy for a Cause – Bryan Callen Heads Non-Profit Event for Medically Fragile Children
The Gray Academy Orange County and The Charlotte & Gwenyth Gray Foundation to Cure Batten Disease invite the Orange County community and their loyal supporters throughout Southern California to a comedy show featuring Bryan Callen on November 17 at the Irvine Improv. Doors open at 12:00 PM, with the 21+ show starting at 1:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now at www.improv.com/irvine. Comedy for a Cause is the second holiday kick-off fundraiser in support of medically fragile children and those with rare neurological disorders. In December 2022, David Foster and Katharine McPhee performed at the Hyatt Regency Newport to a sold-out crowd of local supporters and sponsors. The Gray Academy Orange County was launched in 2023 as the first TK-8 NPS school in Orange County to provide a brick-and-mortar educational opportunity for children with neurological disorders and other complex medical conditions.

The Charlotte & Gwenyth Gray Foundation to Cure Batten Disease was founded in 2015 after Gordon and Kristen Gray learned that both their young daughters had this rare and fatal neurological brain disorder. Their foundation funds research into a cure for Batten disease as well as provide supportive patient therapies and equipment. Visit www.curebatten.org for more information. “Our holiday fundraiser in 2022 was such a successful mix and mingle that we wanted to make our 2024 holiday event just as fun and spirited,” said Kristen Gray. “The medical and educational needs of these children and their families are serious, but our hearts are lifted each time we can come together in celebration with the community and our steadfast supporters.”
