History:
In October 2018, the full service luxury organizing business, Coastal Organizing Company was established by founder Liz Wann. Since her earliest memories, Liz has found sheer delight in the prospect of transforming disordered spaces into harmonious and aesthetically pleasing environments. After completing her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, she spent five years working in college student development before venturing into real estate alongside her husband. It was during this time, while assisting clients in preparing their homes for sale, that she recognized the growing demand for professional home organization services. Shortly after launching Coastal Organizing Company, Liz had an epiphany that she had discovered her true calling, and committed herself full time to the venture. “Coastal Organizing Company is fueled by a deep passion for organization. It’s the perfect intersection of the things that make me come alive, and I’m so excited to share it with you!” says Liz.

Coastal Organizing Company completely transforms homes into organized and beautiful spaces by simplifying an overwhelming process and providing structure to establish flow and order. The finished product is a picture-perfect space, and most importantly, clients walk away with the education and tools to keep it that way. Coastal Organizing Company provides a full service approach, purchases all of the organizational products needed and takes all donations to a local Charity Center. Aside from making decisions on what to keep or let go of, clients can focus on other things while Coastal transforms their space. 

Coastal also offers styling and stocking services. This is perfect for its clients who either want to start fresh or have a vacation home that needs to be fully stocked with everything from linens, cleaning supplies, cooking gadgets, to food. Coastal’s team can stock homes with anything the client desires and organize it beautifully. An additional service their clients and realtors in the area love is their concierge moving packages - from managing movers, prepping the home for the market, and packing and unpacking everything into their new home - Coastal truly does it all.

Inspiration behind the Business:

Liz was inspired by her daughter, and “mini-me,” Ellie, when starting her business. She fondly remembers when Ellie was a toddler how she organized her toys by size and color, colored inside the lines since she could hold a crayon, and her attention to detail was (and still remains) impeccable. Seeing this gift in her daughter allowed Liz to appreciate the same within herself. “Parenthood shows you a different version of yourself and I realized that I could channel this natural organization ability and create a business that brought me joy, showing my daughter that she is capable of doing something she loves. I secretly hope she will want to take over the business one day.” says Liz.

 About the Business Owner: 

Most people are surprised to discover that Liz grew up in Fairhope, Alabama. She moved to California 12 years ago to pursue her Master’s Degree and started working at the university she was attending for roughly 5 years. After meeting her husband, she took an interest in Real Estate and enjoyed working with him before pursuing Coastal Organizing Company full-time. Obsessed with the art of organizing, Liz is also an entrepreneur at her core and enjoys the creative side of running a business, like: marketing, sales and dreaming up additional services that will help improve her clients’ experience.

 Liz and her family moved to San Clemente almost 2 years ago and enjoy all that the coastal city has to offer. Her and her husband have a 3 year old son and a 7 year old daughter, who keep them very active. From sun-soaked beach adventures to hobbies and activities, their family enjoys bonding over the fun lifestyle they lead.

 Giving Back:

Coastal Organizing Company has donated silent auction donations to several schools and organizations like St. Anne School, Forster Ranch Education Foundation and Newport Harbor Educational Foundation in Orange County to help them raise money for their academic programs.
