Meet Open gym premier (OGP)

A leading basketball program started in 2009 by former Chapman University basketball player and current Port Streets resident Matt Kanne. Open Gym Premier currently serves more than 60,000 youth athletes around the country and is on track to become the leading youth sports company in the country. Since its launch, Open Gym Premier has expanded to include volleyball and has plans to add more sports in the future. They serve the local Orange County community with their 90,000 square-foot flagship facility in Anaheim and satellite locations in Ladera Ranch, Yorba Linda, and now Newport Beach. OGP has even hosted basketball celebrities such as the late Kobe Bryant and Damian Lillard, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and more. They also have national partnerships with popular brands such as Adidas, Ballislife, and LiveBarn. In 2022 Open Gym Premier was named one of the top eight workplaces in Orange County by the Business Journal and Orange County Register Top Workplace in 2021 and 2022. OGP has earned a reputation for providing quality coaching and innovative, well-organized youth sports programs and events.

OGP offers a full-service program with training, teams, leagues, tournaments, and camps for young players. Seeing a need for a basketball program in his local community, Kanne recently launched Open Gym Premier in Newport Beach, utilizing the facilities at Liberty Baptist with plans to add more sites.
