Meet Angela Champion M.D.

Business History

Dr. Champion launched her private practice in September 2022, achieving remarkable success. When she made the decision to establish her new office, she maintained a commitment to focusing on the patient and her passion without distractions. She takes immense pride in realizing her vision—a welcoming boutique office delivering concierge-style care that caters to women's beauty needs and is shaped by the shared vision of women, and yes - men are always welcome too!

About the Business

Working as a plastic surgeon allows Dr. Champion to contribute to the community in ways other than just financially.  The importance of mentorship has always been something that she values, as it lets young minds explore and learn about their field of choice.  Dr. Champion generously offers her time to students from NHHS, UCI, and various local schools, granting them the opportunity to shadow her during clinic appointments and observe surgical procedures. Her willingness to share her wealth of knowledge is a testament to her commitment to nurturing the career paths of future medical professionals.

What’s Unique?

Dr. Champion's office exudes a distinct and unique charm that sets it apart from other practices - the warm, friendly environment and direct access to Dr. Champion after surgery, plus, the calming pink aesthetic is an added bonus. Visitors often comment that the pink hue and accents make them feel happy, welcome and relaxed. It was important for Dr. Champion to create an immediate atmosphere of positivity and hospitality that carries through the entire appointment.

Business Philosophy

Dr. Champion has focused on surgery of the breast, body, and face throughout her career. Whether it’s a mommy makeover, breast lift/reduction/augmentation or facial rejuvenation via surgery or non-invasive techniques, many patients openly express their increased comfort confiding in a female plastic surgeon. Making the initial decision to consult a plastic surgeon is a significant step, and the experience of visiting a clinic can be intimidating. Dr. Champion's Newport Beach office has been meticulously designed to create an environment free from anxiety and feeling like just another person in the queue. Patients are assured a sense of being heard, understood, and valued, where recommendations are offered without judgment.

Biggest Inspiration

Dr. Champion’s children have always been her biggest inspiration. It’s her ongoing goal to show them that with perseverance and hard work, they can achieve happiness through a balance of work and home. She especially wants to be a testament to her daughter by demonstrating how women can achieve success even in a male dominated field by embracing inner strength and remaining authentic.

Success Story

Dr. Champion recalls hearing that women only stay in practice an average of 7-8 years due to burnout and their desire to settle down and start a family. “I am so thankful that I’ve beat the odds already, doubling the number of years as an actively working plastic surgeon, while still nurturing a beautiful family. I love that I’ve learned the delicate art of balancing an amazing profession with spending time with the people I love the most,” says Dr. Champion.

Personal Life

Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Champion received her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University (GO AGGIES!) and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch where she also completed her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency in Galveston. She currently lives in beautiful Newport Beach and can’t imagine raising her family or running her business anywhere else. Outside of work, Dr. Champion enjoys pool days, hiking, reading a good book and of course, spending time with her family.

“Seeing my patients’ confidence and self-esteem grow after surgery encourages me to work hard every day and brings me so much happiness.”
