That Time i loved you

Happy New Year, Neighbors!

I am so excited to ring in 2024 with a book that is so special to me. I have been your Book Buzz columnist for one year now, and this is my thirteenth issue!! I can hardly believe it myself! Sharing with you all the books I have loved has brought me so much joy, and now, I finally get to share with you my own book!

That Time I Loved You (by yours truly) is a time-travel mystery with humor and family drama thrown in for good measure. Fans of The Notebook and Back to the Future will love this book! James and Taylor are high school sweethearts and finally finished their high school career, ready to start their lives together. But when James goes missing on the beach the night of their high school graduation, Taylor is deemed crazy for what she saw—James’ literal disappearance right before her eyes. After being admitted, and then released from a behavioral health center, she looks into time travel as the means to find him again. So, Taylor moves away from her past in California to Myrtle Beach in search of answers. After a heartbreaking discovery and a dead end to her search, a hurricane brings her and a new love together. But she can never fully shake what happened to James, haunting her around every corner, never finding answers and resolving never to. 20 years later, when Taylor is married with 3 boys, an elderly couple move in across the street from her, and they may hold the secret to what happened on the beach almost 20 years earlier. Throughout this story, Taylor’s yearning for closure and a chance to reunite with her lost love outweighs her fear of revealing her past to her family. She embarks on a journey, unraveling the mysteries and pieces of the past and coming face to face with the consequences of her choices.
In this heart-wrenching and emotionally charged novel, Taylor must decide if uncovering the truth about James is worth risking the happiness she's found in her present life.

That Time I Loved You explores the enduring power of love, the consequences of our actions, and the lengths we'll go to for the chance at redemption. I am absolutely in love with these characters, and this story of loss, heartbreak, redemption, and the risks one will take to find out the truth was so much fun to write!

I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Happy Reading!
