Insider Tip - Tanaka Farm’s Barnyard Storytime
By: Amanda Huntsman
Don't miss out on the opportunity to join Tanaka Farm’s Storytime at the Barnyard during Every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30 am, Barnyard volunteers and staff gather at the Barnyard Educational Exhibit to read engaging farm-themed stories right beside beloved Barnyard friends. Geared towards children aged 1 to 5 years old, Storytime offers a delightful 30-minute session filled with imagination and learning.
Tanaka Farms has a Barnyard that houses a variety of animals such as chickens, donkeys, goats, sheep, turkeys, a pig, a pony, and even a mini-cow. Unlike petting zoos, which can be a source of fright, abuse, and illness for the animals, Tanaka Farms has created a safe environment for visitors to enjoy an educational experience with the animals. Most of the animals in the Barnyard are rescued and will spend the rest of their lives at Tanaka Farms.
