Immersion Travel's Top 3 Favorite Beach Destinations

By: Sandy Parten

As a luxury travel agent, I have had the opportunity to explore the world and visit some of the most beautiful destinations out there. While I consider Rome my second home, among all the incredible places I have been, three stand out as the ultimate luxury travel destinations - Mykonos, Saint Lucia, and Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic.

Greece, the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia, and the Dominican Republic are all known for their stunning beaches, luxurious resorts, and unique cultural experiences. So it's no coincidence that this Southern California beach girl has picked these three destinations as my top three favorites!

Mykonos. This Greek island is a paradise for beach lovers, foodies, and party-goers alike. When I visit Mykonos, I always stay at the Petasos Beach Resort, one of the most stunning hotels in the area. The resort boasts a private beach, a luxurious infinity pool, and a world-class spa. The rooms are elegantly designed and come with breathtaking sea views. The resort is also home to one of the best restaurants on the island, serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine that is sure to tantalize your taste buds.

I particularly enjoy having breakfast overlooking the beautiful ocean view, and there are always a few mega-yachts docked in the bay to marvel over. While the Petasos Beach Resort is the perfect place for anyone looking for a luxurious escape in Mykonos, don't just stay at the resort. Mykonos town has some of the best restaurants in the world. Whether you're looking for fresh seafood or traditional Greek cuisine, the island offers something for every palate. One of my favorite places to eat is Scorpios, a beachfront restaurant and bar that serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

Saint Lucia. This Caribbean island is famous for its stunning beaches, lush rainforests, and crystal-clear waters. When I visit Saint Lucia, I always stay at a luxury resort such as Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort. This five-star resort is located on the beautiful Pitons Bay and offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. Guests can enjoy a range of activities, including kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking in the nearby rainforest. The resort also has a world-class spa where guests can relax and rejuvenate.

Saint Lucia's fantastic culinary scene combines Caribbean flavors with international cuisine. I recommend local dishes like grilled seafood, plantains, and roti. One of my favorite places to eat in Saint Lucia is the Boucan by Hotel Chocolat. This restaurant is located on a cacao plantation and serves dishes made with fresh ingredients grown on the estate.

Dominican Republic. This Caribbean island is a popular luxury travel destination, and one of my favorite places to stay is Casa de Campo. This exclusive resort offers a range of accommodation options, including luxurious villas, spacious suites, and private residences. In addition, the resort boasts three championship golf courses, a private beach, and a marina. Guests can also enjoy a range of activities, including tennis, horseback riding, and water sports.

When it comes to food, the Dominican Republic is known for its rich and flavorful cuisine. Visitors can try local dishes like sancocho, mangu, and chicharrones. One of my favorite places to eat in the Dominican Republic is the Beach Club by Le Cirque, which combines French and Dominican cuisine.

Next time you are planning a beach getaway, consider one of my three favorite destinations, Mykonos, Saint Lucia, or Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. Each one offers a perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, and cultural experiences. So whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, these destinations will impress.
