Cabana: A Fusion of Flavor and Entertainment in Laguna Beach
By: Bethany Myers
Nestled in the heart of Laguna Beach, Cabana stands as a staple of Mexican beach cuisine reimagined with a contemporary flair. If you're seeking a captivating culinary adventure, look no further. With its rich blend of diverse flavors and a talented team of chefs, Cabana promises an unforgettable dining experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Stepping into Cabana, my husband and I were immediately captivated by the expansive, beautifully painted murals on the wall, oozing the artistic vibe that Laguna Beach is so quintessentially known for. The warmth that envelops you from the moment you enter sets the stage for a journey to Mexico's sun-drenched shores.
This is the place where the lively tastes of Mexican coastal cuisine burst forth, with each dish promising to transport you to a world of seaside allure.
Insider tip: Make sure to call and make a reservation ahead of time - it can get busy! We also recommend arriving early, finding parking nearby at a meter, and walking down just a few minutes to the ocean to enjoy a stunning sunset. It’s the perfect way to start out your evening!
Favorite Dishes:
Tocino De Camarones - Four bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with cream cheese.
Branzino Medley - Fresh seared branzino, calamari, shrimp, and mussels in a wine and garlic sauce with a side of cilantro white rice.
Estofado De Carne - Slow braised short rib served on a bed of housemade mashed potatoes
In addition, Cabana is perfect for birthday parties or to celebrate exciting milestones with loved ones. And, of course, an alluring date-night spot. It’s much more than just a restaurant - the live entertainment is a thrilling addition that goes beyond the exquisite food. With live DJs spinning tunes and mesmerizing fire dancers from Thursday-Sunday, Cabana offers an incredible experience you’ll be talking about for days to come.
To enhance your visit, Cabana boasts a range of exquisite cocktails that capture the essence of coastal-infused cuisine. Each cocktail is truly a work of art, with the perfect blend of flavors and finesse. It's an invitation to sip, relax, and indulge after a long day. Our favorite cocktail was the “hora de florecer” made with gin, elderflower, liquor, triple sec, pea flour, and garnished with a decorative lime slice.
To cap off our memorable dining experience, we indulged in the decadent bread pudding - warm, sweet, and spiced to perfection.
If you're intrigued to try Cabana's offerings, you can find them at 222 Ocean Ave, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. For reservations or more information, call 949.456.9024. The restaurant operates from Tuesday to Sunday, with special happy hours and brunch hours to ensure you don't miss out on the fiesta.
