There are many ways to celebrate Dad for Father’s Day, but here is our list of 5 activities that made the cut this year.
Does Dad Like Cool Cars?
On Sunday, June 19th, the 18th Annual Father’s Day Car Show hosted by the Balboa Bay Resort returns. Car-loving dads and their families can attend this event for free from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the upper resort parking deck. The show will highlight an assortment of classic, rare, and custom cars and will also feature live music, food, and family fun. Does Dad Like Hiking?
Lunch at the new Bear Flag restaurant (they moved spaces) in Crystal Cove, followed by a peaceful hike through Crystal Cove State Park. There are many trail options depending on your activity level. Rent a Duffy boat, cruise the harbor, then park at The Lighthouse Bayview Cafe in Newport (insider tip: they have docks for those dining with them out front). Grab a casual lunch with a great view. Treat him to a unique BBQ Father’s Day dinner at Oak & Coal in Costa Mesa. The yakitori restaurant skewers bite-sized pieces of meat, seafood, and vegetables on a bamboo stick and grills it over binchōtan charcoal. Menu items include a variety of chicken, pork belly, fish, beef, and veggies; all served with different and unique marinades and sauces.
